Spring into Color!!!

Hey guys!

We've made it to another season and you know what that means....more style tips! The average guy usually walks into a store and heads straight for darker colors. The reason; for years, men have seen "color" as an element that makes them too noticeable or sets them apart from others. Thing is...that’s the right way to go! I get tired seeing guys go out looking like they're wearing a dull uniform, which simply sucks the life out of their personal image. Color is a great way to express your character and mood and it also brings life to the person overall. As wewe jump from spring to summer, check out some great ways to incorporate color into your daily life...even if its done subtly....

Acessories

Watches can be a fun and funky way to add a bit of color
Compared to the traditional black/brown belts, this is one of my favorite ways to add another look

Clothing

Seersuck (My fav pattern...cool and breezy with blends of white/color)

Plaid Shorts...this is a bold step, but it works, esp when worn right.

The best way to wear these type patterns are with solid color tops....

Shoes

For those of you that know me, you know that I'm all about my loafers...colored one...crazy hot!!!

Call it an "Italian thing" but these are better than any pair of tennis shoes you could find! With solid clolored clothing, these add that pop of color to any outfit.

If you aren't already a loafer lover...join the club! The best designer now has to be Tod's...they're the perfect fit for any man's feet.

Guys...be different...be bold...be daring...be stylish...be YOU!!!

Image is EVERYTHING!!!

Kedar Klarke Approved!! : Men's Knee-High Boots

Ok, ok...I know it sounds kinda weird...but this is actaully a great trend. We've become so accustomed to only seeing pirates, aquestrians and the "goth" crowd in this trend, but designers have now worked it out and made it a hit-trend for the fashion savy man. I'm sure war veterans are kinda glad to be wearing those old combat boots again...stylishly. Talk about swag-jackin'! If you're not up on this one yet...get you a piece!

Gettin' Sexy in OH TEN!

It’s 2010! Aren’t you excited?! I am and I’m quite ready to concur more than ever before. It’s a fact that men typically don’t make New Year’s resolutions, but guys…come on…let’s consider just a few this year. Top on the agenda; “get that body right”!

It’s a new year and it’s time to create a new you! Today begins the start of our “summer bodies” work out sessions. Grab one of your boys and put your money where your gut is. Make a bet between both of you to loose weight and tone up by June 2010 (giving you 6 months). By using a friend, you’d have more of a drive to work harder and achieve your goal. Go ahead and tell more friends about it so that they can hold you both accountable for working harder. Trust me, once your money is on the line, your gonna make sure that you hit your target goal! If you don’t have a friend that’s up for that challenge, look into a personal trainer. Today is day one of working with my trainer and I’m already beat! My clients are welcomed to this same trainer at a discounted rate that will blow your mind. Most personal trainers have their own reputation on the line so they’re gonna make sure that you make them look good…and yourself too!

Now guys, working out and lifting weights isn’t the only way to achieve that targeted goal. You must be conscious of what you eat. If you eat fat, you get fat! Look into eating more proteins (chicken, fish, etc.) and baked or grilled foods.

Trust me, within a few short weeks, the ladies are gonna be noticing that you’re putting in the work. Remember that image is everything; never allow yourself to look like a lazy bum because you’d be treated accordingly. Get with it! Get that body right before the summer gets here so you’d be able to walk around with confidence.

| kedar klarke's fashion trends countdown of 2009| Part II |

the v-neck tee

Before now, the v-neck was only noted as an underwear item for men. As fashion countinues to evolve, items such as the v-neck shirt has made its way to mainstream fashion. From the subtle v-neck falling about an inch away from the collarbone to the "deep-v" falling about 4+ inches from the collarbone, the v-neck has become a must have item for every man. An item such as this can easiely make it from day to night...once paired with the right pieces of course.

kedar klarke's countdown of top fashion trends of 2009

As the year comes to a close, I find this to be the perfect time to recap on what was HOT and what was NOT! Unlike women's fashion, men's wear should be timeless, tasteful and effortless. This year, we've seen trends that have made most men look really nice. With male celebrities and other fashion conscious men making certain trends "a must have", we have seen a growing increase of men who have "up-ed" their closet-game and put a bit more effort in their image. Over a series of blogs, I'll share some of the best and worst fashion trends we've seen this year and also fill you in on some new trends for 2010!

the military trend

A staple design of Burberry (one of London's premier fashion houses), the military style has dominate 2009...fashionably. Designers took traditional oxford shirts and included epaulets (typically seen on a military uniform shirt for shoulder pads), creating a look that is distinguished and elegantly masculine. This design has become popular for its diversity; being worn on a causal day with shorts or dressed up with a neck tie for a dinner party. Luckily, almost every male designer took a hold of this trend and added it to other items; jackets, oxford shirts, t-shirts, etc., making the military style this year's most sort after trend!

And for the style
 winning the "NOT Award"............................

The excessive embellishments that most urban designers have included, has made the military shirt less tasteful. Guys, when looking for a great trend to get into, less is always best.

the essentials

Gents...I have to fill you in on one of my favorite essentials, "the weekender". Now I know some of you are like "WTH!?", but it's simply a carry bag which is stylish, sleek and timeless. The weekender is quite possibly one of the most practical style accessories that a man can own. Gone are they days when we carry around the brief case( looks too mafia-like), backpacks (so high school days) and messenger bags (clearly you're not delivering newspapers). Weekender's come in many different shapes, colors and textures, making them versatile enough for casual outings to the beach and gym or the office and a short business trip. It's the perfect style tool for the life of a "man on the move".

This leather bound one is great for work and the professional man. Big enough to carry your laptop, portfolio and other needed items, but small enough not to be mistaken as luggage.

For the more casual man...gym or beach...this weekender is quite trendy and accessible.

For the guy that needs a bit more room, grab a larger bag...a tote and pile your life all in!

This has to be my favorite. It's simple and classic. A great travel bag too.

Continue to enjoy the holiday's...in style!
